Carol H. Elmore will be judging our show this year. Carol is an AQS Certified Appraiser of Quilted Textiles and an AQS Appraisal Certification Committee member with thirty years of quilting experience. Carol has done quilt show judging in Oklahoma, Texas, and Arkansas. She and her husband, Ronnie, do lectures together on historical quilt topics and enjoy traveling and working together at quilt shows and quilt expositions where Carol does appraisals. In addition to appraising and judging, she is a collector of textiles. Dog quilts and fabrics are her favorite! She also lectures on the history of aprons using examples from her collection of more than 50 aprons, and she leads workshops on quilt dating, hand piecing, and Scottie block quilts. When not working in the quilt world, Carol is a veterinary medical librarian at Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS.
Carol is available for quilt appraisals during quilt show hours. The charge for a written appraisal is $50 per quilt. An appointment for an appraisal may be made by contacting Carol Elmore directly by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 785-537-7221.
